At night, she dragged her beleaguered body to the beach and fell asleep on the sand. In dreams, a magical sea turtle carried her to sea to alleviate her suffering.
The lonely turtle offered healing and longevity to take its place, but impassioned voices called to her at sunrise. Reluctantly, the turtle let her wake with strength for one more day.
The wise turtle carried her further away each night. The voices grew faint. She relented and accepted the turtle’s proposal. Unfettered, she swam forever free until the lonely night she saw a beleaguered body sleeping wearily on the beach.
